Went for a work get away. Room was nice, the front desk people were friendly, we thought everything would be great. Went bowling at the lanes downstairs with about 8 people, but when our estimated time ran out they shut off the lane and claimed they could not turn it back on so we could finish the game. We would have to start over, even though we were in the 8th frame. What a scam. No customer service.

As for playing slots or tables- win some you lose some. Overall decent I'd say, except the locals usually get ripped off and the jackpots and promotions go to out of towers always. Hotel is nice, staff is great. Super happy they have kid quest now, the prices are amazing, and it makes date night easier. Bowling is cool, half price days are even better, and having the charlie there for pizza etc works out perfect. It really is a fun for all place. We go pretty often, so things have gone wrong occasionally, I've been satisfied with how any problem was handled, usually fast and easy too. Definitely really like black oak casino and everything it has to offer.

We completely enjoyed our stay at the Black Oak Casino! We really enjoyed the family theme entertainment with a large swimming pool, water park, arcade and bowling alley. My grandkids had so much fun playing in the water park! We found the room spacious and clean and the beds very comfortable. Having a gas station and car wash on site was an added bonus. Casino staff were very helpful and friendly and the free valet service was a nice perk too! Will go back!

Really enjoyed the casino area not being too smokey and that there was a non smoking section also. And WOW -soda water and coffee stations all around, how great is that for those that don't want an alcoholic beverage while playing! The fun center downstairs isn't just for kids either-great way for adults to feel like a kid again. And the adult swim time was perfect! Pool was just right and the spa big enough yo not feel crowded by us adults who wanted to enjoy the quiet time

My husband and I took our daughter and grandchild up to play for a couple of days. I called the day prior and asked about early check in. I was told there was no guarantee but to definitely come and check in as soon as we got there. Lady on the phone was very nice and explained that they would let the Cleaning staff know in that room would get done as soon as possible. when we got there, we checked in and the room was not available, but we were told we would get a call as soon as the room becomes available. We waited a couple hours by the pool with all of our belongings because we had already turned our vehicle over to valet. It was very hot. We had no way to change our clothes because we came from cold weather and there was no shade to sit under. We went to the front desk to check on our room since it had been a couple hours and they said it wasn’t ready yet. I went back to the pool to let the best of the family know the room wasn’t ready yet, but I also went down the hall to go check to see because it now was a good 3 1/2 hours since we had checked in. I seen the Cleaning Lady Finishing up room and so I went back out to the pool and told them it should be any time now. We waited another hour and still have not gotten a call. I went back in the hall, and the cleaning ladies were all gone. All the rooms had been cleaned. I went out and told my husband he needed to go to the front desk and find out what’s going on. He went up and asked if the rooms were ready. They finally gave my husband a room key and we were able to get in our room and it was 5 o’clock by this time. And check in is 4 o’clock. This resort has short staff throughout. So due to this, you have to try to be as patient as you can with the staff, but at the same time they are rude.

Clean updated rooms , clean grounds. Very family friendly. Excellent price for room which includes amenities (splash pad, pool) and an extra but reasonable cost for the trampoline park, bowling alley and arcade. The only disappointing thing is you do have to walk through the cigarette smoke in the casino to get to the kid friendly activities such as the bowling alley and arcade. (The hotel area and kids areas are non smoking ) Thank you to front desk employee Amber who was kind and friendly at check in.

I want to give this place five stars because the hotel is genuinely nice, the water park rules, and there’s nice food options. However, the entire hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. I knew it would be smoky in the casino but was shocked by how bad it was in the rooms and throughout the entire hotel. I passed a very hard night puffing on my inhaler, with towels stuffed on the floor under the door and my windows open. I was also fretting about the impact of the second hand smoke on my two year old. I’m actually so deeply sad about the situation because we were so excited about the water play area opening up close to my in laws and had big plans to be regulars. They have to do something about the ventilation. It’s straight up not a safe situation for small children to be staying there, or anyone with allergies or asthma.

We love coming here, It's close enough we get to enjoy the pool and the splash area with the kids, they love the slides they have. Also when it gets a bit breezy at night, the pool is heated so it's another plus especially with baby. The staff is always nice and helpful. I have a blast in the arcade with my kiddos. It's just close enough to home where we can do a quick getaway, without having to drive too far!

Horrible Experience – Never Coming Back I’m a 33-year-old mother of five children, and I came to Black Oak Casino Resort with my husband and entire family expecting a relaxing getaway. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. First of all, I brought my official California driver’s license – legal ID – and the bar still refused to serve me. They claimed it wasn’t a “real ID” despite it being state-issued and valid. I even took an Uber for 3.5 hours just to bring my ID back, and they still refused. Meanwhile, my friend was served with no ID at all, and another friend with the exact same type of license was allowed to drink. Why was I the only one treated like this? I booked ten rooms, spent a lot of money, and brought a large group — and this is how I was treated? Completely unacceptable and humiliating. And it gets worse: the hotel itself is disgusting. Everything feels dirty and outdated. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. They restricted us from using the pool at sunset, didn’t offer enough drink service, and the rooms were in terrible shape. Yesterday, my 3.5-year-old son, who is potty training, had a small accident and tried to run to the restroom. He didn’t make it in time, and as a result, they kicked me out of the pool area and didn’t let me back in for the entire day. I was shocked, embarrassed, and deeply disappointed. What kind of “family resort” treats moms like this? This place is absolutely not family-friendly, not guest-friendly, and definitely not worth your time or money. Avoid this place at all costs. I’ll never return — and I’ll make sure others know what happened here.

Love staying here. They are generous with comp rooms. We always have a relaxing stay. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfy. Everytime we come we order a pizza and house salad from Charlie's. The pizza is amazing and the house salad is simple but delicious. Try it out this place will not disappoint. Prices are reasonable also.
