I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Waikiki! The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived. our room was spotless and very comfortable, and the amenities made the stay even better everything I needed was right there. everything was within a 15 minute walking distance. And the breakfast was great, it had options for both of us! A special thank you to the Manager Rose, who helped clear up a mix up. She made the whole process stress free, and I truly appreciated her helpfulness. I would definitely stay here again!

Lets start with, if I could give 0 starts I would. Read this and consider if you still want to choose this hotel. First of all, it does not include parking. You have street parking or you can pay them $50/day. They have 24 levels and only 4 of those levels are for parking. It's first come first serve basis. They told us, "if you don't find parking, let us know and we will remove that day from your bill. We will tell you where to park." This had us thinking we had somewhere secure to park our car in the case we didn't find parking. One night we didn't find parking and we informed them. They told us we had to park in a hotel 4 BLOCKS away from the hotel and it was CASH ONLY. Mind you, it was around 11pm and it was just my friend and I (2 girls). We went to the hotel and we took THE LAST SPOT THEY HAD AVAILABLE. And since the elevators were not open at that hotel, we had to walk down the parking lot levels. We had to walk back to the hotel at night and again in the morning to pick it up. Not only that but they also charge you for taxes PER DAY for the parking. For a state that preaches peace & love they sure love to rob people's money. Expect to pay for parking everywhere you go BTW. If you're lucky to find parking.

We stayed here twice in a week, using day rooms while island hopping. VERY convenient to the beach and all that goes with it. Really nice area. The hotel is big and well run. Day rooms were small and compact yet totally clean and comfortable.

The rooms are TINY, you have to pay $50 a day to park there and the elevators take forever. We were pretty bummed out on the overall experience. We will never stay here again. The breakfast was decent but I would’ve rather spent the parking money on a better breakfast elsewhere.

Pros: comfortable bed, great location.|Cons: AC is impossibly loud, breakfast made us ill with 0 veggie options available unless you want instant egg (they even ran out of butter so had to buy our own), shower was freezing cold, couldn't …

This is a great place to stay in Waikiki. Very clean with great views over the city. A good breakfast offered with plenty of choice and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The pool area is small but adequate. The beach is a short walk …

Terrible hotel. We are here now and no towels at the pool for hours. Call the front desk and they put you on hold or say they there is no pool attendant so I guess that means no towels or bar? And supposedly they are sending someone but nobody ever brings towels. Bar at the pool is supposed to be here all day but is nonexistent on a WEEKEND!! Rooms are tiny, no balcony. Hairs everywhere. Breakfast is so bland I rather spend money than eat free food. Save your money or better yet spend the additional 200$ to stay somewhere where they care about their guests. Never again. Only good thing is front desk staff is really friendly.

Holiday Inn WaikΔ«kΔ« is a Holiday Inn. Budget friendly, convenient enough to not be an issue. The room upgrade we got was fantastic. We definitely appreciated the dedication and commitment to quality customer service shown by the staff. The room we had was quite small and tight. However it was adequate for our needs. We were able to enjoy the breakfast buffet which was very good food and as much as I wanted kept me quite full. I would recommend the Holiday Inn to any budget conscious traveler looking for a great hotel in Honolulu.

Second time staying for my wife and I, it was just as good as last time. Don’t expect large rooms. They’re kind of small, but my wife and I are here for the beaches not for the rooms. We just need a bed, a shower, and kick our feet up when we want to relax. The breakfast is actually pretty decent more than what I expected. And the staff is really friendly! I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Comfortable Stays with a Parking Predicament My recent stay at the IHG Waikiki offered a mixed bag of experiences, largely positive on the room front but significantly challenged by their parking situation. First, the positives: I truly appreciated the daily housekeeping service. Coming back to a refreshed and tidy room each day made a noticeable difference and contributed to a very comfortable stay. The rooms themselves were clean, well-maintained, and provided a pleasant retreat after exploring Waikiki. However, the parking at the IHG Waikiki is, simply put, a major drawback. While it's understood that parking in a prime location like Waikiki can be limited, the hotel's approach feels less than ideal. At check-in, guests are informed of a daily charge exceeding $50, which is steep but somewhat expected. The real issue arises in the evening. We were explicitly warned that returning around 9 PM or later carried a significant risk of finding no available spots in their limited lot, a situation we were told "happens all the time." Should this occur, the hotel's solution is to direct guests to an off-site facility that only accepts cash, (they will reimburse the parking fee at the end if you have to park elsewhere)This is incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, especially for travelers who may not carry a large amount of cash or anticipate such a sudden, mandatory expense. For a hotel of this caliber, a more robust and guest-friendly parking solution, or at the very least, clearer and more accommodating alternatives for overflow parking (perhaps with options for cashless payment or direct billing), would be greatly appreciated. if you're planning a stay at the IHG Waikiki and don't require a car, or are comfortable relying solely on ride-sharing and public transportation, then it's a solid choice with excellent daily cleaning. However, if you're bringing a vehicle, be prepared for potential parking headaches and the added stress and expense of navigating their limited, and at times, inconvenient system. Friendly staff.
