We stopped at Kula Bistro for breakfast after watching the sunrise at Haleakalā while on our honeymoon, and it was the best decision! We ordered the corned beef hash eggs benedict and the steak and eggs—hands down the best breakfast we had on the island. Everything was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The service was wonderful too, super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Maui!

This place was fantastic. The service was personal and world class. All of the workers there clearly had personal interest in making sure our experience was fantastic and that we loved the food. They even took extra special care to ask what we were doing next what we have already done our vacation and gave us a list of things that we should check out that were local before we left the island. We will absolutely go out of our way to come back to this place again.

We stopped in after visiting the botanical gardens and had an amazing meal here. Great vegetarian options and unique flavor combos. It felt like a high end restaurant off the beaten path. Our servers were so helpful and attentive. We had the cheese curds, caprese salad and coconut shrimp. The highlight was the garlic butter served with the warm bread basket. Don’t miss their unique frozen desserts and pastries. We took some back for later

I was visiting friends in Maui from Chicago and this is one of their favorite restaurants. It is now my favorite too! The location is beautiful, food menu and options are amazing. Portion sizes are very generous. Service is fast. Bakery is absolutely yummy. Staff is attentive, warm, and welcoming. Our server Janice clearly enjoyed her job and people. She made us feel like family.

What a surprise! We were on the loop back from Hana, and Kula Bistro appeared to be one of our first options for food. Reviews and others' photos looked great so we decided to stop. We were not disappointed. The flavors were rich, and the portions were large. Be sure to stop! Pro tip: they're BYOB so be sure to swing into the market across the street if you want a beer or wine.

Kula Bistro in Maui is a cozy Italian spot with a great menu and fresh flavors. We loved the refreshing guava and orange juices, and the appetizers—coconut shrimp and crab cake—were delicious. Both the Alfredo chicken and grilled chicken sandwich were satisfying and full of flavor—definitely worth a visit!

Some of the best food I’ve ever had. 10/10 recommend making this apart of your stay or if you’re in the area after the sunrise. French toast was incredible!!

If you plan on going up the hill, this is where you MUST stop on your way down. (With any luck you'll get Mama J as your server). We didn't do the sunrise, we went up a little later and just hiked. The volcano is stunning! But that's another review. You will not be disappointed with a stop here. Theresa (my wife), decided to have the crab cakes and some bread. (I know... Maryland crab cakes in Hawaii?! But what are you going to do...) She absolutely loved them. I tried both the bread and the cakes and both were delicious. I had the Rueben sandwich (which was thick with meat) and seasoned fries. I couldn't decide which was better... the sandwich or the fries. The fries were magical. They remained crisp even as they cooled off. So much so that we asked Mama J to find out where they got them! You have many places to eat on the island, and this is perhaps not the most convenient. I highly recommend you schedule a visit.

Best breakfast on the island by far. Their food is amazing and fresh. Probably the best breakfast you can find on the island. All items were delicious.

It’s a small rustic restaurant, which only adds to its charm. The food slaps, it’s top tier. We arrived for a birthday dinner and decided to come here last minute. I’m glad we did! Their bread basket was great, which is something the table shared. And we all enjoyed our entrees. They do not skimp out on portion sizes here, it is massive!! They also sang happy birthday to my sister in love, with the purchase of something from their bakery and the candle of course. Our server was always on top of things checking in with our table for refills and just to see how things were going. It was a great experience after all and the food definitely matched their service.
