I just spent my third separate week at the Inn at Schofield, and I've had all my needs met, I'm very happy with their service, and i keep coming back. I've stayed in different room variants, and the one with the couch was my favorite. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The sink, microwave, and mini fridge combo counter were perfect for week long stays. Room layout fit my style. Simple decor. Happily, the TV options have improved since years ago.

First day there we noticed that the floors we extremely dirty and had not been cleaned. The next morning I called to the front desk and told them that the AC had been running all night and wouldn't shut off, they sent a repair guy over to take a look at it. He stated that the AC always runs and that I would have to shut it off of if I didn't want it on, i told him that it was set to auto and that it should shut off once the temperature is reached. He continued to state "no you have to shut it off", I tried to explain how that made no sense that I would have to get up in the middle of the night to shut it off. He called his supervisor to come explain it. I proceeded to tell him the same thing and he proceeded to say the exact same thing as the last guy. I told him that this was the text book definition of fraud, waste and abuse due to the amount of power used for the AC and this is not acceptable. He finally said that he would replace the thermostat and that might fix it. After replaced the thermostat the AC shut off at the appropriate temp. For this hotel to be on base and housing soldiers this is not right, not too mention the fact that they charge a RIDICULOUS price (double the price of FAR better hotels 15 to 20 minutes away) since they are the only hotel near by. This is also the definition of price gouging which should not be accepted being on base and housing service members. These actions should be addressed immediately!

I got stranded at the airport by the tsunami on 29 June, 2025. Finding a room near the airport or in Waikiki was impossible, but being retired military I gave The Inn at Schofield a call at 3am....a real person answered! They were so accommodating and allowed me to adjust my stay as needed based on flights. Also, when the room is available before the afternoon, they let you check in starting at 9am! Rooms were more than adequate to catch some needed sleep. The location was perfect - close enough to the airport, but even closer to the North Shore (great food, great beaches). If I was to vacation in Oahu, I would definitely consider Schofield as an option. Proximity to things NOT in Waikiki (that's a good thing), full base ammenities, clean rooms, flexible booking, and a great staff!

Rooms are acceptable but not worth the price. It does have a sink and mini-fridge (I had to request one with a freezer), but that's it for amenities. In the last two weeks, the AC had to be fixed, and the door lock had to be replaced (the door wouldn't unlock). The furniture looks like it was bought 20 years ago from IKEA, and there's still popcorn ceilings. Does have free Wi-Fi, but my phone hotspot is faster. Of the 3 receptionists I've dealt with, 2 rate 5 stars, but the third has has an attitude every time I've dealt with them. Location is fine if you're looking for something on-base. Close to the commissary and PX, but that's about it.

Rooms are fine. It's an old motel that isn't very well kept either on the grounds or in the rooms. The room appeared to be clean, so that's a positive. I'm here for business, so im not paying, but if I was, I'd be disappointed with the amount for the rooms/vs what u get. No breakfast, no coffee in the rooms, u have to pay for laundry, I can't find an ice maker (not sure if there is one or not). The front desk people were not very nice. Traffic is very loud and right by the entrance to my room. The walls dont block the sound, and traffic starts around 0430. Overall, not a great experience. Choose a different one if you have the choice.

Taylor at the front desk helped make arraignments for our situation. The staff were very kind and loved our stay at Schofield! Within walking distance to everything for both inprocessing soldier and families waiting on a housing, which made life very convenient amd much easier. I'd recommend to friends and family

Ask for extra towels if you have more then (2) in your party. AC very cold ours didn't adjust you get full airflow the whole time. Unless less you turn off. Motorized damper not working. Our house was getting Fumigated.

The pictures and information need to be updated. The rooms are small, but the employees are so sweet. There is a snack bar located in the lobby office, but there aren’t many food choices; mostly snacks, candy, water, soda, and Gatorade. The pictures online aren’t what the rooms look like currently. The WiFi is terrible, but the hotel is walking distance from the PX located right across from the bowling alley.

Beautiful place, wonderful staff and we love the little shoppette in the lobby but, the room just feels really small and the Internet is absolutely terrible. Like it disconnects me every few minutes and then I have to resign into the portal everytime it reconnects which is very annoying. Otherwise it's a wonderful place and it's really really nice for incoming soldiers. Location is really great too, being across the street from a restaurant and the PX/Commissary.
