The WORST hotel experience of my life. I am a very experienced traveler, and I have NEVER seen anything like this before. As soon as I checked in and laid down on the bed, I saw RED COCKROACHES crawling on me. Not one, not two — the WHOLE ROOM was INFESTED. I was in shock and traumatized. When I went to the reception, they first gave me a NON-EXISTENT room number (224). At midnight, I had to go back again, and finally I was given another room. That second room had no cockroaches, but it was FILTHY. The floor was covered in GREASE and DIRT, my socks turned BLACK within minutes, and all the surfaces were STICKY and DIRTY. It looked like the room had NEVER been cleaned after renovation. We had to THROW AWAY our socks and sleep fully dressed because it was impossible to feel comfortable. The floor was SLIPPERY with some greasy substance. Absolutely DISGUSTING. And the worst part? The hotel management NEVER apologized. One person at the reception seemed like they didn’t even work there. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. Do NOT stay at this hotel. It is a NIGHTMARE.

So gross literally the floors had so much dust and debris on the. Nightstand covered in thick sticky liquid and on the other had food residue. The room was so loud and you can hear everything in the other rooms. Mattress was rust stained. Couldn’t pay me to stay here again. AVOID.

Let me be fair, the ONLY reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because Bryan who was working over night last night and got us into a room was absolutely amazing and the breakfast was actually pretty good. The confirmation email said we had to check in by 1 am. We got there at 12:15, and he couldn't find my reservation. Apparently the computer kicks it out at midnight. He did find our paperwork someone printed out and he did get us into a room. I was super exhausted and appreciate Bryan's help so very much. So, there were issues getting in that weren't his fault. While we were checking in a guest left because the equipment in the gym wasn't working. This morning the elevator quit working. The AC in the room was definitely not cooling very well. We shouldn't be sweating at 70 degrees. And we had chose this place because of the picture of the pool on their website. I was quite disappointed when we found that spot is now just concrete. We checked out today instead of tomorrow because of that. The manager didn't seem to want to take responsibility for anything. He tried to say Bryan was mistaken when we tried to check in. But I was there, I saw what went on and heard the phone call when he tried to call the manager about it. When we mentioned the pool he tried to blame the website we used. So I informed him I also went into their direct website and the picture of the pool is on there too. All he said was he would look into it and was glad to let us go. I think I was polite about everything, and as bad as it was I would've forgiven it all, but instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, the manager tried blaming every thing on something else. He blamed Bryan for the hotel messing up our reservation. He tried to blame the old owners and the website we booked on for the deceiving pool picture. He literally didn't take responsibility for anything and was happy to see us go. That topped the cake for me to leave this review. We will never stay there again.

The room was great! The curtains made it nearly pitch dark, the blankets were clean and soft and the furniture was brand new and super modern and the breakfast was fantastic!!! We will stay here again for sure!

First of all they had construction going on while people was checking in. Secondly I was given my first room right by the other rooms that was remodeled, 3rd my room was on 4th floor I walked in it was full of bugs and they was not hiding at all when I bk down stairs told the little young fellow that checked me in he said wasn’t nothing he could do take it back I drove out of state, I had to wait till morning shift came in to be moved out of that room. Cause baby them bugs was not trying to hide at all. I have pictures I’m not going to post but the hotel has great potentials

No ac in the lobby. One elevator. Tub was extremely dirty. Like had brown stains. She was very kind and gave me a new room. But the new room. We had to buy shower shoes and the bed springs have brown stains. U get what u pay for here

I chose this hotel to stay while I was doing renovations on my home. I stayed here from last Friday to this Friday A whole 7 days. I have 3 children aged 7, 5, and 7 months. On Friday I returned to the hotel around 9 pm without my kids for the night. I have been paying around $75 a night for the past 7 days and I normally book either the night before or the morning. Saturday morning I woke up and I was supposed to check on my house. I loaded everything up in the car and I took all the trash out of my room. Before leaving at 8 am I asked Travis if I could book again. He told me to book online. I paid $105 for a night on booking.com. I called at 9 to confirm my booking. He told me I had booked the wrong date and I told him I was gonna check the booking website and call right back. Upon calling the property back someone was picking up the phone and hanging up. So at 10 I left my home and went to the hotel. I was told upon arriving that they were no available rooms and that I would have to check out. Ms. White the property manager told me that I could no longer book the property and she would call the police. I spoke to the police about 10:30 and went to finish cleaning my room and packing. Bessemer police left. Upon leaving, I locked my card because the manager told me and my NASTY CHILDREN needed to leave the property and said other derogatory things to me. I stopped by the front, and asked could I get a confirmation page with my deposit and when it would be returned. This is when the manager to get out of line over the phone and I asked the employee to hang up the phone multiple times. After leaving the hotel, I decide to just go back home because my renovations were finished. I started recieving notifications that the inn was charging me amounts of $250, $100, and $50. I called the property asking why I was charged. He told me that the room was dirty. Before leaving I took a video of how the room looked. They charged 3 unauthorized transactions for $100 and $50 claiming the room was dirty as an AUTOPAY TRANSACTION. I left their room clean and the way I was treated was despicable and terrible. As a mother I was attempting to do right by my kids and I took my tax return updating my property so we could have a better life. They don’t provide clean towels to guests even though they know you have to bathe daily and I specifically asked for housekeeping. The manager was very disrespectful and unprofessional. I paid a total of $610 for 7 nights and she called me several curse words. She judged me and it may have been hotel policy but ethically it was wrong. Throughout the week the experience was great but it was the end that soured my mood. If I had been told hey we are sold out I would’ve stayed at the hotel till 11 and wouldn’t have left at 8. I didn’t have my kids so I probably would’ve enjoyed the alone time and silence. I do not recommend this property at all. They also don’t have ice and no laundry on site. No matter what my kids did they shouldn’t be charging me to clean. That’s what housekeeping is for. If I thought it was gonna have to spotless, I would’ve booked an Airbnb. NO SYMPATHY WAS SHOWED FOR ME OR MY KIDS. UPDATE: My bank was able to stop 2 of the charges. They took $40 out of my account. I did dispute but I closed dispute because I wanted to move on with my life. Thanks to the owner for housing me and my kids while I renovated my home. I needed a mental break from Birmingham and family so thanks to the owner for giving me that peace.

3rd party reservation failed. Wasn't assured I wouldn't be charged for 1st reservation... even tho I made another reservation. Breakfast is half empty at 7am. Enjoyed their cold water near the breakfast area. Didn't enjoy the roaches in the bathroom when I woke up.
