Great resort, great service, very comfortable. Not as fancy as some and not as big a pool as some. Great location at the end of Ali road, so not in the middle of downtown and the ships and parties but close to shopping, beaches, and water adventures and the local farmers market at keohou Bay. Parking is easy. Quiet most of the time. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is a great resort, especially the value you get for the money. Pros: ocean view, pools and whirlpool (you can watch sunset!), each suite has its own washer and dryer, and kitchen! We cooked a lot of meals there. The vibe is cool and you feel at home. Staff are nice and helpful. You can play tennis, basketball, etc. The suite is spacious. Great value! Cons: some bathroom can be renovated.

Unfortunately our stay was overshadowed by massive roaches and an unclean room. Never in my life have I stayed at a hotel with roaches. They were running around by our bed, living room, and in the kitchen. That’s something I expect of a raunchy motel rather than a so-called resort. We also saw hair all over the shower walls from previous guests which was just gross. We called the front desk in the morning and they said they would send someone over to clean and set out traps, no apology by the way. We were gone all day and upon arriving back to our room late at night we found that neither was our shower cleaned and there were no traps set out. So we had to call again and they said they would send someone in the morning. So half our stay we had to shower quickly and avoid touching hair from someone else. They set out traps but that didn’t stop us from seeing them still appear around the room. I’m surprised they are able to be called a resort. We even had to pay for our AC per day which I thought was pretty outrageous. Just disappointed and disgusted.

We stayed here last month for a week. We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit. It was great to have the kitchen to cook meals. Hawaii is expensive so it's great to save money with a few home-cooked meals. The unit was spacious. Air-conditioning is available for purchase. We paid $13 a day for it. They have 2 swimming pools. Unfortunately, one was closed for remodeling. There is a restaurant attached to the pool that was open. We ate there for 1 evening meal. It was good food and, on some nights, they provided live musical entertainment. Happy hour was daily from 4 to 6 for $2 all adult beverages. A couple of times we needed to call maintenance or housekeeping staff. They were VERY prompt at addressing our needs. The only downside I can think of is that they were just too far from downtown Kona to be able to walk the distance

Really nice condo style living with a full kitchen stocked with everything you need if you feel like cooking. Clean and lots of towels and you’re always one phone call away from more towels. It’s ocean front with an off limits golf course and a pool that may or may not need maintenance. You’re only gonna be there to sleep, so what else do you need? There is a restaurant and bar on site near pool but we never tried it. It’s at the end of old town Alii drive and a manta ray viewing is next door at outrigger.

An older, but well maintained facility Staff was kind and helpful especially with an older mobility challenged relative. For the most part it was quiet - except for the quiet pool, which wasn't most of the time. The grounds were beautiful and location was central to most everything. The unit was well equipped and what it didn't have, the resort had available to rent.

During check-in at the Activities Desk, we received an invitation that was presented to us as a β€œgift.” This was misleading, scam-like language. We were told, β€œWould you like your gift?” β€” but what was offered was neither clear nor a true gift. By definition, a gift is something voluntarily given without compensation. What was actually offered required my time AND a $40 deposit, which is not a gift at all. Why not be honest upfront that this was a timeshare pitch? The activities agent did not clearly explain what we were agreeing to. We only discovered on our own that it required sitting through a 90-minute sales presentation. Once we realized this and canceled, we had to jump through unnecessary hoops to get our money back. If you can take my money at one location, you should be able to refund it at the same location β€” not force us to drive elsewhere. The fact that there was no working number to reach the sales office only added to the sketchy, scam-like feel. Additionally, when we canceled, Jessica was unprofessional and unpleasant to work with, which left us with an even worse impression. Overall, this entire experience came across as deceptive, unprofessional, and extremely off-putting. Because of this, I will never return or do business with the Kona Coast Resort or Wyndham again.

This is a nice, reasonably priced resort. Our 1 bedroom was a good size with room for a family of 4. All of the staff are very friendly, the pool is large and fun and the bar has good cocktails. I would definitely stay here again. The staff in Activities are very knowledgeable, and housekeeping responds very quickly to requests.

Very beautiful views & great food! The bartenders and servers were amazing! Shout out to Lacy for great drinks and all the information on places to visit on the island. If I could offer any suggestions to the owners, it would be to update the bathrooms and please give the staff some brighter shirts with a blue tropical design. Something beachy. 🫠🌴🌞

We had such a great time here!! We came as group of 5 and they all took care of us. Love the restaurant/bar with the pool next to it so you can get your drinks and apps by the pool. It’s the perfect location to watch the sunset. I 100% recommend this place.
