I was at the state fair, huge, pretty cool, the games were ridiculously high, I get everyone needs to make a living but 10$ for every single game at the least, 20 if you want a decent prize. Now I do admit these stuffed animals quality has come a long way since I was a kid. The admission, the ticket prices and the wrist band could have been done in a more customer friendly way. Its more of a way to blow an extreme amount of money for your kids to enjoy something we all did as kids. I remember my parents dropping me off and I got a certain amount of money, I remember riding every ride, I remember the games were maybe 3 to 10$, its crazy how high it is now. A funnel cake is 10$ at every stand. I remember them being 5 6$. I will be back to visit the casino on a more adults only trip. I cant wait to see about that! Probably equally expensive but more exciting for adults.

It was nice but not enough rides. More games and food than anything else. The fair needs to be bigger for the price they are charging. Bigger and better put together rides are definitely needed. Some rides were not working. We still had fun though.

We bought tickets online for our grandchildren. We paid for the wristbands online. Our grandchildren still had to pay for the rides. They had the email information with the tickets. But the staff wouldn’t let them use the information. Never buy tickets online it’s a ripoff. Oh I will go to another state for our grandchildren to enjoy the Fair. Never go to Alabama State Fair at the racetrack it’s a ripoff

Paid for admission ticket and ride ticket and the money didn’t go through on their end but did on mine. We went back and forth trying to get the money back or have it print a ticket but it wouldn’t work apparently. So they told me that they would refund me and the money would come back to my card in 3 days which was Tuesday. It’s now Thursday’s and I still have not received my money very disappointed and upset with the service and $46.80 went down the drain for an experience I didn’t get to enjoy.

Bought tickets online and ended up not being able to go through security because they did not allow backpacks...yet if you were a parent, you could bring in a backpack. I wasn't about to leave valuables including my computer in the car so we ended up stuffing what we could in a small bag and carrying some other stuff. Don't understand why they couldn't just check our bag.... it is not like there was any type of crowd waiting to enter and parents with backpacks were just walking through. Fair was extremely small with nothing special. There were some unique animals under one tented area. Hardly any shade or places to sit. We were very disappointed.

I gave it three stars because it was very disappointing for me and my family. To few of vendors were present. Most of The food was uninspiring There was advertised things that weren't so. The past few years that I've gone there I've had a good fun filled time. I feel for workers there and the production people because it was hardly a crowd so I'm sure they didn't make they're quota this day (or season). The exceptions where the Restelli Circus πŸ‘‹, the Disc-Connected K9 performance was fun, and the educational Jurassic lockdown dinosaur show πŸ‘‹ worth watching and listening to.

The staff here as far ss for the rides and petting zoo are very rude ! I had one lady yell β€œdon’t pick up the rabbits β€œ instead of just coming to us and saying it respectfully. She looks like a crackhΓͺΓ’d she has a hat with a super thin small ponytail just so people can know who to watch out for . Overall I give the fair a 2/10 . It really wasn’t what I was expecting it to be .

I'm used to larger state fairs with exhibits and such and this was on a much smaller scale. When we went Sat in the late afternoon, it was getting full and the lines for rides and food were maybe about 5-10 people deep. Because the fairgrounds isn't too big, people in line for food were starting to get in the way of people in line for rides. When we left, at about 7ish, there were A TON of people waiting in line to get in so I imagine it quickly got unbearable inside. The food was ok, funnel cakes and cheese pizza were yummy but my friend's fried shrimp on a stick was inedible. I loved the petting zoo area, which had a couple of unique animals.

WOW. Very underwhelming, and shouldn't carry the title of "State Fair". It is a carnival at best, with some generic games and fair food. The gate staff were very nice, and that's about the only redeeming fact.

********Need to carry cash to this place***** They will charge $2 extra for any card payments. ATM machines were out of service and difficult to get on rides without cash. Kids will definitely enjoy all these rides and circus. Multiple shows were there.
