Had two units at the Pono Kai for a week for our family vacation. Nice location, on the beach and on the Kauai path. The resort has several activities, pickleball, ping pong, and games which our family enjoyed in addition to the pool and …

I had a great stay at pono kai. Easy parking, location is cool. Walkable to shops and food trucks. The path to the beach is very close and is very pretty. Staff was nice! Chickens were fun to see. I’ll come back.

Room was a little dated but clean. Water gets tepid wuickly instead of hot for bathing. Very nice view of water. It was my brother's timeshare, so only paid $80.00 for the whole week! The pool wasn't in operation, so that was a drag!

Beautiful surrounding of Hawaiian flowers and a koi pond. Lots of selection of wild life like cats, chickens, and roosters. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing experience with VI unit at Pona Kai for our vacation in September. The units are dated, but not terrible. Having said that, you have NO CHOICE in the unit you are assigned, and there are none with any type of ocean view. …

Plenty of activities on site, swimming, pickle ball, tennis, putting range, and a short walk to the beach. Free coffee was available in the morning at the lobby, just bring your own cup.The room was well taken care of and it was convenient to have a full kitchen available with plenty of grills outside to use. The grills were busy around dinner time. Fitness center was relatively small, open from 8 to 8. Access with room key. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We were here in August 2025 and stayed in a 2 bdrm unit. The master bedroom had A/C, but the location of it was tucked in a corner so the room didn't cool down very easily, so we had to keep the A/C at 64 degrees the entire time. The second …

Where to start first of all how could you not live and love to wake up in Hawaii with the picturesque views from everywhere you travel to just stepping outside on the balcony. The resort is right off the beach amazing sunrises and sunset. To the beautiful sounds of ocean splashing up the beachside. I could go on but please visit and stay here if and when you can. Hands down best resort in the middle of everything.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect. We had our 13 year old with us & she enjoyed the Murphy bed in the living room. It was super comfortable. We had everything we needed. We bought groceries from the Safeway and did our cooking at the …

Absolutely the worst place I have ever been. Worst service possible. If they had the Zero star option, I would gladly give it. Not a single person there was hospitable or accommodating, and they are proud of it, which makes them even worse. If you hate your job and hate people and giving service, go work in landscaping or street sweeping. Give the rest of the PAYING world a break. You guys truly SUCK at what you do. PERIOD!!!!
