Let’s start with the good. The people who run the hotel are very nice. Room was cleaned daily and towels restocked. |No ice machine but they will give you a gallon zip lock bag of ice at the front if you ask. Having a full fridge and a few …

Let's start off with the good. Very attractive from the outside. The lady behind the counter was very kind and worked with me on an important room change so I appreciate all that. The rooms are very plain and definitely old as dirt put the beds are super comfortable the pills are super comfortable it's just not the type of hotel or Resort I guess I've become accustomed to. But so far I've slept like a baby and for me that's all that matters

There is no A/C which we new, but it sits on Hilo bay and the humidity was ridiculous. The room reminds me of an old military barracks, doors are not security doors, they are old hollow core interior doors and most have no deadbolt. I cannot recommend this place . It is 3 stories with no elevator. The only saving grace is it's 5 minutes from the airport and a short walk to downtown. Very dated and in need of a complete remodel.

The hotel is older. The room was ok; definitely on the cheap side. Don’t expect luxury. The plus is: the views are amazing. The biggest negative: No elevator. We had to lug our bags up three flights of stairs. The room did have a normal size fridge and a small microwave. Don’t expect to watch TV. The service kept going out. We had to wait for someone to show up at reception before we could check-in. My advice, keep looking.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Service was incredible. Price was extremely fair. We checked in late (like 9:55pm) after a long day of adventures, totally exhausted, and the guy who checked us in grabbed our heavy luggage for us and was like "here let me help you to your room" and without us asking or saying anything he took us up stairs and all the way to our room. It was the nicest most unexpected blessing we didn't even know we needed at the time. Made us feel so welcomed. If we make it out to Hawaii again we will definitely be back.

We always stay here on the Big Island it is older but cheap. Uncle sits on the bench when you check in. This is on the inlet so swimming or a beach is 60 seconds away. Note: I love this place but no a/c or elevators. All rooms have a large floor fan which we put next to the screen while we're there. Rooms are always clean and beds are more on the Premier side. Every room has a baby kitchenette with sink/microwave and Fridge. Tell them I said "mahalo" for always being kind. Aloha

A little shabby, the Hilo Reeds Bay is. Doors that use actual keys instead of key cards. Walls and furniture that could use a fresh coat of varnish or paint. This hotel was probably state-of-the-art when disco music was king. All this …

Location is great, within walking distance of Coconut Island and LiliΚ»uokalani Gardens. The hotel is extremely dated. No elevators and marginal wifi in lobby area. This place needs a serious refresh. While the sheets were clean, the beds felt old and worn out. Finally, parking is very limited. I had to park almost 2 blocks away and carry stuff with kids, so not exactly convenient. Also, no A/C: We had a "bayside" room so had a nice ocean breeze. My sister had a room halfway down the hallway and it was hot and no fans in room. If you are looking for a less expensive option on the bay or near the park, this is an OK choice. If you are looking for a more traditional updated room, then pay more and stay down the street.

I LOVED my room-it was the BEST EVER! Everyone was so `olu`olu- from the Maintenace workers, housekeeping and front desk-I will be back next year for sure!

We paid resort price for a motel. Had it been a standard motel pricing, it’s alright. Clean rooms, good location and nice water views. Staff is wonderful. Hotel is dated and had loud noises from other guests and neighboring building at night/ early morning hours. WiFi in the room is horrible. Almost no network. Had to go to the lobby to get decent connection. Cable tv had only one channel on. On a rainy day it was no fun stuck inside a subpar hotel with no WiFi and no tv.
