We love staying here at the charming Kamuela Inn; it feels like stepping into a simpler, sweeter time. The air is crisp, misty, and the kind and warm people make this a true gem! On this visit, we stayed in one of their newest rooms, and …

Loved the low key setting, the beautiful weather. I stayed in a room in the new wing, Paniolo1. The room was clean and well-appointed. Great lighting, comfy beds and bedding, sizeable bathroom and shower with motion-sensitive light and …

Very pleased with our stay. After almost 9 hours of traveling, we arrived at the Kamuela Inn. We stayed in Executive Suite 1. It was recently updated, and had a full kitchen. The beds were perfect and had nice quality linens. Two bedrooms and two huge bathrooms with walk in showers. Local shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers. No a/c that I saw, but the fans were sufficient, even in July. Quiet property, never heard any roosters that were mentioned in other reviews. All of staff I interacted with were friendly and professional. They are really striving to please their guests - I received texts to touch base and make sure everything was satisfactory. Breakfast is included. Served in the dining room with lots of hot and cold options. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, breads, rice, yogurt, fresh fruit and pastries, along with juice and coffee. Everything was delicious. Patio and grounds have gorgeous plants. It was nice seeing a mama hen and her babies poking around the back gardens. You can tell that the owners and staff care about the property and their guests. Mahalo!

Very clean room. Got everything we needed during the stay. Great job. It’s obvious that you renovated… great job. Lots of room for a couple. Quiet and cool night. Will definitely stay again. The small things like comfortable bath, bed and available coffee/coffeemaker was appreciated

It was very charming, cozy and comfortable. Only downside is no AC and although the fan is above the bed, the speed of the fan didn’t seem to have a β€œmedium” and we were afraid to open the windows, since we were on the ground floor, so it was a bit stuffy for us. Other than that, we loved it. The complimentary breakfast was definitely appreciated. We will be back when the weather is cooler.

Kamuela Inn is a beautiful facility. Some rooms are newly renovated and they got all of the important stuff spiffed up. The rooms are clean, quiet, nicely appointed. The location is great with highly rated MOA restaurant and premium restaurant Merriman's within easy walking distance. Premium bed mattresses. It's a great place to stay. So why the abysmal rating? When we made reservations in January we specified that it had to be on the ground floor because of my difficulty climbing stairs. About the same time my sister reserved a room with the same stipulations, as she has severe problems with steps. There are no elevators in the facility. We arrive in May and they have no record of our request for ground floor rooms. They've assigned us rooms on the second floor. There are larger, nicer, more expensive rooms open on the ground floor. The staff talked to the manager who was not on site. She agreed to let us have the two more expensive rooms for the rate that we had originally reserved rooms for one night. We had planned to stay for two nights. The second night would be at the $80 per room higher rate. On the basis of principle we stayed the first night and left the next morning. Too bad that they wouldn't honor their word.
